MCuT - a complete packet radio system for PC/FlexNet
MCuT is a packet radio terminal, a packet radio mailbox and a convers
bridge. Its main features are its speed, the easy setup, the rather big set of
features with little hardware requirements.
The Terminal
MCuT's terminal implements all basic features of a decent packet radio
terminal:
- sending/receiving of text and binary files
- supports the most common password systems
- has a rich set of remote commands
- 7plus and autobin autosave
- offers both pulldown-menus and command-line
- is easy to setup, no need to edit configuration files
The more advanced features are:
- automatic recognition of the remote system type
- ANSI colour support
- PGP signature checking, simple PGP frontend included
- supports PC/FlexNet (hostmode support - TNC and emulation - is
included but not very efficient and therefore not recommanded
- low hardware requirements: with BBS 286/1MB, terminal only: XT
- simple scripting language for extensions
- included editor
The BBS
- BayBox-like user interface
- Supports RLI and compressed FBB-style store and forward
- Supports DieBox system messages
- Supports replies/followups using the integrated editor - quoting the
original message, automatic generation of PGP signatures
